When Do You Study Best?

libraryMy best time to study is early in the morning.

I usually get up at 5 a.m. and start studying – and drinking coffee – by 6 a.m.

I can study straight until 3 or 4 p.m. – with brief breaks for stretching and snacks.

I then have the rest of the evening to relax and plan for my next day.

What’s your ideal study time?

  1. My ideal study time is no study time at all. I usually study when I’ve got breaks between classes. My best time is actually at night from around 9:00-12:00pm.

  2. I nearly always study at night – between 9:00 and 2:00 works best for me.

  3. wow – night owls. I’ve definitely had my share of all-nighters.

  4. I prefer 8 – 12, 1 hour lunch, then 13-17. With lectures packed in to those time blocks.
This way I get a good separator between “study” and “free”. And it’s easy to know how much time I spend, and that I spend the minimum time the school recommends.

Programming assignments don’t count in to this though, I usually do those in the evenings. There’s something nice about programming when it’s dark outside. And I’ve been doing it like that since I was a kid, I guess habit plays a big role.
