8 Google Gadgets to Keep You Organized in 2008
I use my Google personalized page to help me stay organized on a daily basis. Here are my 8 favorite gadgets that I use regularly:
Google Calendar
Google Calendar is one of my favorite gadgets because it helps me see my various tasks and responsibilities at a glance. It’s also a quick way to quickly add events and agenda items into Google calendar.
Gmail Gadget
I like having access to my email directly from my personalized page. It saves me a lot of time by quickly seeing if I have any urgent emails.
Google Docs
I spend a lot of time writing papers in Google Docs. And this nifty gadget allows me to quickly access my recent documents right from my Google homepage.
To-Do List
This to-do list helps you keep track of all of your goals. You can also add a priority to each item with a low, medium, or high priority. It feels good whenever you complete a goal and can remove it from your list.
Sticky Note
I use this gadget several times a day. It automatically saves everything you write into it. I typically jot down chores, urls, or some daily goals into this simple notepad.
Google Reader
I’m a news hound so my Google Reader gadget helps me stay current with what’s happening at a glance. This is a dangerous gadget if you spend too much time reading RSS feeds in Google Reader.
Google Bookmarks
Google Bookmarks is a great way to keep all your favorite web links organized in one location. This is extremely helpful when you’re constantly on the move – and need access to your favorite bookmarks when on library computers. The only problem is that you can’t export from or import to this list. You have to add each website individually.
Countdown
Focus on certain goals for yourself with countdown. You simply create a goal or item you need to remember and then submit a date. This countdown will show you how many days you have left to finish your goal.
So those are my favorites. Which ones do you use?
